There are two methods for physics -- Integration (think bullet) and deterministic (think procedural). We also have two levels physics will take place at: the ship, and the player.

Player control is also a kind of physics, and uses much of the same infrastructure as physics simulations. Not letting the player walk through walls is essentially the same problem as physics collisions, for example.
Possible future directions include:
- Non-spacefaring vehicles.
- Articulated characters, inverse kinematics, ragdolls.

This made it into milestone 1 using bullet physics.
